We know Joe’s was known for its dock, night and shore fishing as well as the sand beaches when the lake was full, but unfortunatly due to low lake levels we do not currently have an area for fishing or swimming from the shore or docks. If you do not have a boat or kayak, Wallys Watersports does rent kayaks/SUP boards onsite or does offer ski lesson/boat rides. If you are looking for water access, picnicking, or fishing, check out Paradise Canyon just a short 10 mins down from Sunset Resort.
We are a privately owned & family operated resort that prides itself in customer service & providing a space for you to make memories with your family! We have a gate that is locked when it is not attended for everyone’s saftey & security. We are not a self service, 24/7 facility . Our launch opens at 7 am and closes at sunset. We have a daily launch fee to use our ramp and facility. We provide a shuttle to & from the boat ramp when available, as well as flush restrooms, paved parking and
Unfortunatly at this time we do not have a picnic or BBQ area. We do however have an onsite Bar & Grill that is open for food, sodas, beer and wine for all to enjoy. If you’re looking for a designated area for your group to enjoy, we do offer shade cabana rentals for a fee next to the sports courts. The rental fee starts at $200/cabana and includes up to 5 cars and 20 people. Additional people and vehicles are subject to an admission fee at the gate.
When you stay onsite, you get access to enjoy our sports courts at no additional charge - pickleball, sand volleyball, cornhole, putting green and more! When you dine with us you also get use of the sports courts as well. Otherwise a day pass for the sports area can be purchased separately for $7/person/day.
The hours of our boat ramp are 7 am - sunset (varies seasonally) or if the Bar & Grill is open later, the ramp closes when it closes. If the gate is shut, call 830-444-5879 for access. No vehicles or boat launchers may be left after this time. We do not allow overnight boat launches or boaters to stay after without prior management approval. After hours vehicles will be towed at owners expense.
For the safety of all guests, children under 16 must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult at all times while on resort property.
Unfortunately our marina is not operational due to structural issues that need repair. Once the repairs are complete, we will announce when it is open. Until them, please do not fish on or from it, tie up to it, or enter any of the slips or walkways.
We have several overnight lodging accommodations available for your enjoyment. We offer an onsite 3 bedroom house as well as ranch stays 5 mins from the resort. Check the BOOK NOW tab for options.
Our newly renovated RV sites are ready To enhance your lake adventure! Sunset Resort offers nightly or monthly RV site rentals for guests seeking an extended stay at the lake. Please note that RV sites are intended for recreational use only and may not be used as a primary or permanent residence.
Yes! We love to host private events - we are a perfect gathering spot for birthday parties, graduation celebrations, anniversaries, corporate mixers, bible studies, youth groups and more! Reach out to us For more details and options.
Sunset Landing Bar & Grill is open for all of your food and drink needs. A few of our local favorites are: Smashburgers, Baja Shrimp Tacos, Wisconsin Cheese Curds, Sweet Potato Fries and the best homemade French fries! Check Facebook for updated hours and food options.
We accept both cash or credit cards for boat launch fee as well as at the bar & grll.
Please, please obey all posted signs around the resort. They are not posted to be difficult — they are there for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. We appreciate your cooperation! Failure to abide by the signs will result in your removal from the resort.
